When Nintendo released its new Nintendo Wii system, it discontinued the popular Gamecube game system to be able to sell new systems to its audience. Afterward, there remain millions of Gamecube consoles which were bought by the public, and there are also millions of Gamecube games to boot. For any new video game players or as starter systems for someone trying to keep costs down, the Gamecube system could be the perfect answer.

The Gamecube console is extremely easy to set up and use. It plugs into nearly any television, and can use from one to four controllers, including wireless controllers. There is a huge variety of games still available, both for sale online and in retail stores, as these used games are still in demand. While hardcore gamers have moved on from Gamecube, families with younger children, or an individual on a tight budget will want to take a look. The Gamecube console can be bought for under $50, some with games and controllers included. Like the system, there are plenty of games available for sale too – most for less than ten dollars, and these can be found at game stores at the mall, online on eBay and Amazon and many many other retailers.

There are still some top rated games available on the Gamecube, which are excellent for the kids and fun and exciting to play. Some examples Mario Party 7, which is fun for all ages, or Mario Strikers soccer game, Mario Kart Double Dash, and Luigi’s Mansion. For older players, games like Prince of Persian Sands of Time and the huge hit Super Smash Bros Melee are sure to please. These games are also multiplayer if you have four controllers, and remember, accessories are affordable too!

Due to the many systems still in use, there are also Gamecube games for rent. Sites like GameFly game continue to rent games for Gamecube, which also brings down the price of play. You can keep games you rent, and pay the “used” price, also at a discount.

One great feature of the Gamecube console is that the games are also compatible with the Nintendo Wii console. When Nintendo built the Wii, it used the engine from the older system as the base, and so games can be played on both. (However, Wii games cannot be played on the Gamecube). If you choose to upgrade to the Wii platform at a later time, your Gamecube games can still be played, and your memory card can still be read by the Wii. You can even use your Gamecube controllers with the Wii.

At these prices, for anyone who wants to have some fun games to play for themselves or the family, the Gamecube is a great solution. Don’t break the bank on video games – look for great deals on systems online or off.

Super Mario Sunshine Review

By Andres Garcia

Before you go running away, I know, this game isn’t exactly new.
Yes, it’s for the GameCube, and yes, there is another Super
Mario game for the Nintendo Wii that you can get instead of this
one. So why am I even writing a review about this game?

The reason is because I feel that this game was over looked by
many people, and for the wrong reasons. I also understand that
you can purchase the latest Mario game for the Wii. That being
said, you can purchase Super Mario Sunshine for really cheap.

Now, one of the biggest reasons why I believe people didn’t
decide to play this game was because like other Mario games,
this one wasn’t set in Mushroom Kingdom. It must be said, that’s
pretty sad if that’s the case. Why? Because the game is fun. At
least to me.

I’ll admit, I was also a little disappointed that the game
didn’t take place in Mushroom Kingdom, and at times while I was
going through the game, I did kind of miss the Mushroom Kingdom.
That being said, I enjoyed Sunshine so much that I completely
forgot that it didn’t take place there.

So what’s the game about? Basically, Mario and friends decide to
go for a vacation – a place called Isle Delfino. Little do they
know that Mario is being set up. A “look-a-like Mario” is
responsible for making Isle Delfino dirty – big mess. So, once
Mario and friends arrive at the Island, Mario is immediately
confiscated and taken to court. The verdict? Guilty as charged.

It is now his responsiblity to clean up the entire Island, and
thus, Mario’s adventure begins. In sunshine, Mario acquires a
water device called FLUDD. This device allows you to clean up
the Island with water, because essentially what you are cleaning
up is “paint-like goop.” This device also allows you to hover
using the water for a short period of time.

There are other uses for FLUDD, but I won’t mention it, simply
because I don’t want to spoil the game for you. How are the
graphics? Considering that it was a previous console generation
game, I would have to say pretty good. The textures are a bit
blury, and there is some slow-down at spots. But again, we do
have to remember this was released on GameCube, and even today,
it still looks quite good.

So there you have it. Do I recommend Super Mario Sunshine? Of
course I do, that’s the whole point of this article. So, get out
there and grab yourself a copy. It shouldn’t be hard to find,
and it should be quite cheap, in terms of cost.

The Legend Of Zelda Twilight Princess Review By Andres Garcia

I'm finally done the game, but I have to admit, I'm also a bit
sad. On one hand I'm glad that I finally finished the game, I
made it to the end. On the other hand, I enjoyed the game so
much, that I didn't want it to end. Typically, when this happens
with movies, we're talking about around roughly an hour and a
half. In the case of Iron Man, I think that movie was over 2
hours, but still, I felt it was too short just for the fact that
I didn't want it to end.

The Legend Of Zelda Twilight Princess Review By Andres Garcia

I’m finally done the game, but I have to admit, I’m also a bit
sad. On one hand I’m glad that I finally finished the game, I
made it to the end. On the other hand, I enjoyed the game so
much, that I didn’t want it to end. Typically, when this happens
with movies, we’re talking about around roughly an hour and a
half. In the case of Iron Man, I think that movie was over 2
hours, but still, I felt it was too short just for the fact that
I didn’t want it to end.

Here’s the crazy thing though, I’ve clocked in more than 70
hours with Twilight Princess, and yet, I still didn’t want it to
end. When something like that happens, chances are you really
enjoyed the game. That was definitely the case with me. Lucky me
though, I still haven’t completely finished TP (Twilight
Princess for short), considering there is still a lot left to do.

If you ever played a Zelda game before, then you know you can
complete the game without having to acquire everything in it. TP
is no different. I still have heart pieces to collect, Gorons to
attend too, and more. Will I go back to do those things?
Absolutely, you can count me in.

The Legend Of Zelda Twilight Princess was originally released
for the Nintendo GameCube. Since the Nintendo Wii was being
released around that time as well, Nintendo decided to also
release it for the Wii. So, what are the differences between the
two games? The main game is the same, the only difference are
the actual controls.

So which version do I prefer more? After spending considerable
time with both versions (I beat the Wii version and played
several hours of the GameCube version), I would have to say the
Wii version. Why? The controls. At first, the controls for the
Wii version took some time to get used too. I mean, not only was
TP the first Wii game I played, but it was also the first time I
was playing the actual Wii itself.

Anyways, after getting used to the controls, I have to say, they
are definitely superior to it’s GameCube counterpart. It’s just
so fun being able to swing your Wii remote, and having Link
swing his sword. Or using your bow and arrow by pointing at the
screen to shoot your targets. It’s pretty hard to explain how
the controls feel without actually having played the game. But
all I can say is that it feels good, and it feels intuitive.

As for the adventure itself, do I really need to go into
specifics? Well, first of all, I don’t think I do because I
really don’t want to ruin anything for you guys. It’s probably
best that you guys go in playing without knowing anything about
the game. I will tell you this though, buckle those seat belts
because your going to be in for one hell of a good ride.

Do I recommend the game? Read my previous sentence and you’ll
know my answer. Good luck!

If you are pulling your hair out trying to find an affordable video game system, you should consider the Nintendo Gamecube. It’s the system that Nintendo made prior to releasing the Wii console. The Wii “brain” is still the Gamecube engine, in fact. But in order to market its new video game system, Nintendo scrapped the Gamecube. That doesn’t mean it isn’t still a great starter system for beginning gamers, and you can’t beat the price!

Right now, you can find the Gamecube available on sites like eBay and Amazon for amazingly low prices – $35 to $50 for the console and controllers. The games are also available everywhere for about $10 – a long way from the $50 price tag for new Wii games. These games are mostly used, as are the systems, but you can find systems in such excellent shape it’s like having new.

Especially if you are on a budget, the Gamecube makes sense. If you don’t want to spend a fortune for a game system, or if you have young children who want to get started and you don’t want to spend hundreds and hundreds of dollars, finding a Gamecube is a perfect solution. Even better, when you do upgrade to a Wii, the Wii will play all of your old Gamecube games. Not only that, but video game rentals like GameFly still offer Gamecube games online, and you can buy the ones you like after you try them.

The Gamecube might be off the market officially, but for under $75 you can have a really fun gaming system that will last for years.

F-Zero GX is one of Nintendo’s best racers. Not only did it come from the sacred lineage of the F-Zero series, but it introduced a whole new slew of features. F-Zero GX was not the best selling game on the console by any means but it should be up there as one of the best games in all of Nintendo history.

F-Zero GX hit North American shelves on August 25, 2003. Although the title was given a lot of hub, it didn’t sell all that well. The reviews were average and not many people saw a reason to get it. However, when one actually plays the game it masks all of those things. The game consists of a variety of modes.

It has the prominent Grand Prix mode. It has over 5 cups with around 6 courses per cup. There are around 5 modes one can play on for any level the gamer is. Also, the game comes packed in with the Story Mode. This feature was never before seen in the F-Zero world. It had nearly 10 missions with 3 difficulties. Although the story mode can be overly challenging at times, it is very fun. Next, the most prominent feature is the game’s customizable parts mode. In this mode, gamers can build cars with parts they can buy at the store.

One can earn money by racing and completing story mode missions. Cars can be customized with many parts and can be fit for the individuals style of racing. All in all, F-Zero GX is a fantastic game and deserves more attention then it got. If you haven’t already, pick up a copy of this game now.

One company that’s been a big name in video games for years is Nintendo. In many ways Nintendo revived interest in video game systems that can be hooked up to televisions (as opposed to video games played on home computers). It put out a number of good systems in the late eighties and throughout the nineties.

The Nintendo GameCube is the current iteration of this long line of video game platforms, but unfortunately it doesn’t really measure up compared to other modern video game platforms like the new Sony PlayStation 3, and Microsoft’s Xbox 360. For example the GameCube has a processor with a speed of 485 Megahertz while the PlayStation 3 has a central processor with a clock speed of 3.2 Gigahertz which controls eight other processors, and the Xbox 360 has three processors running at 3.2 Gigahertz each! The differences in memory are just as large with the GameCube having a system memory of 40 Megabytes, while the Xbox 360 has 512 Megabytes of RAM. One thing that might offset the GameCubes slow processor and small memory to some extent is the fact that the processor itself is a 128 bit unit.

The GameCube also lacks a hard drive which both the PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360 feature. While apparent deficiencies in hardware can be made up for to some extent by the unique hardware architectures and software, the lack of a hard drive put the GameCube at a stark disadvantage because of the way being able to store various data allows the user of a video game platform to customize the video gaming experience. For example the Xbox 360 allows users to create their own sound tracks to go along with games and then store that music on the hard drive. Apparently with the GameCube, there isn’t that option, so the user is stuck with whatever sound comes with the software.

The GameCube does have a decent amount of networking capability. Besides the ability to support four players on a single unit, the GamCube has an optional 56 Kbps modem adapter and a separate broadband adapter. The broadband adapter allows for playing over DSL and cable modems, with Local Area Network play an option on some game titles. It also has parallel and serial ports as well as two Digicard ports and one Type III PCMCIA expansion slot.

Another thing that puts the GameCube at a huge disadvantage when compared to the PS3 and the Xbox 360 is the fact that it’s disk drive is designed for Nintendo’s proprietary eight centimeter mini DVD. Each mini DVD only holds 1.5 Gigabytes of data which is severely limited compared to the Blu-ray drive that comes on the PS3 which can access discs holding 54 Gigabytes and the Xbox 360’s optional HD-DVD drive which can access discs holding 30 Gigabytes worth of data.

The fact that the disk drive only takes the eight centimeter discs also means that the GameCube 360 is not a multifunctional platform the way the other systems are. The inability of this platform to play CD’s DVD’s and other media limits it to the realm of strictly being a video game platform while the PS3 and Xbox 360 are also CD and DVD players.

In all, while the Nintendo GameCube can’t really compete with the other video gaming platforms on the market today, it seems to serve well as strictly a video gaming device.

The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess Cheats

The Legend of Zelda Series have a huge following. Here is a Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess guide. This guide contains cheats, tips and cheat codes for Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess

The Legend of Zelda is one of the few games that has survived from the first to the sixth generation of video game consoles. The Legend of Zelda was one of the few games of that time to have a intense and intricate storyline.

The Legend of Zelda was first released in 1987 by Nintendo. The game had a similar storyline to Mario, where the main protagonist had to save the Princess of Zelda from the clutches of the evil Ganon. In that respect, the game storyline was quite similar to Mario Bros released in 1983. However, Legend of Zelda had nothing else in common with the cult game, and soon gained its own popularity due to it’s medieval atmosphere, autosave function and scrolling capacities.

The latest video game in the critically acclaimed series is titled Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. The game has been released for the Wii and the Nintendo GameCube. The game is set some one hundred years after the incidents in Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. The main character, Link first tries to release two villagers kidnapped by some monsters, but is transformed into a wolf and imprisoned. He is released by a mysterious character, Midna. While imprisoned, Link meets another of the castle’s prisoner – Princess Zelda.

Link now has to do battle with Zant, the evil king of the Twilight Zone, as he tries to merge two worlds for his evil needs. Here are some cheats, code and tips for Legend of Zelda: Twilight PrincessThe entire game is riddled with cheats and goodies. Players have to be careful to look for all of them and find them.

Link will find eight more heart containers in the dungeons. To get the eight heart containers, he must look for the various heart pieces hidden in the land. There are a total of forty eight heart pieces.

To get the sinking lure after you catch and keep a Pike, Ordon Catfish, and Bass fish, go past the bridge to the left side. You will be greeted with a little brown patch in the shape of a circle near the water. Turn north and fish manually.

Use Oocoo to save your game at a specific point in the dungeon. Use him to teleport outside and save. You will restart from where you left.

Read what the fortune teller writes back to get a clue about Enutroff Rellet. The bird selling the red potion and lantern oil can be made to give all its money. If you take whatever you have bought and leave, the bird will attack Link.

You can find the Hyliann Loach by fishing at the fishing hole in summer. Look at the fishing shop’s theme in the map to find out what weather it is. You can use either a frog lure or a sinking lure. Rent the canoe but don’t take the shop keeper along.

Traverse through the murky swamp by waving your lantern and ignite the two torches inside the northeastern cave where you obtained the North Woods gate key.

Take down the flocks of birds while travelling in the Hyrule field. The Gale Boomerang and Z-Targeting lets you drag them close to be killed by a sword strike.

Clearing the flock will cause a reward of about 50 rupee to drop from the sky. Bottled water can be poured on growing fruits/vegetables to make them increase in size.

Play Falbi’s Flight By Fowl Game to get infinite money in Lake Hylia. Land on the rotating platform of hundred rupees. The next platform will have a piece of heart. When you ask to get shot up to the house with cuccos (Falbi’s Flight by Fowl), use to gale boomerang on the top of the house, make sure that you hit the red/orange tiles on the cannon house. You will get a red rupee, which will be worth fifty rupees. Once you are shot up, do not move to another platform. Get to where you can see the wind direction rooster thing and hit it with the gale boomerang, you must z-target. An unskippable cut-scene will show that the chest on the rotating platform has been closed and once again filled with 100 rupees. You can also just save your game and restart for the chest to be refilled.

Sonic the Hedgehog truely is a legendary video game icon. He smashed his way onto the gaming scene back in 1991 when SEGA first brought you the super fast, blue blur character.

Known for his rebellious attitude and signature speed, Sonic has made a name for himself in the gaming world and has no plans of fading away anytime soon.

Not only can you find Sonic games on the original SEGA console, you can find Sonic games on next generation consoles including the Wii, PS3, PSP and Xbox 360.

Sonic and the Secret Rings was released for the Wii console on February 20, 2007. Sonic brought his trademark speed and rebellious attitude to the Wii in his first solo adventure since he was first introduced, back in 1991. The gameplay is simple, but challenging and sonic soars through the game at top speeds!

Sonic the Hedgehog is the title for the Xbox 360 and PS3 consoles. This video game was created in order to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise. It was released November 14, 2006 for the Xbox 360 and January 30, 2007 for the Xbox 360.

Sonic Rivals was released November 24, 2006 for the PSP handheld console. Custom built for the Playstation Portable, Sonic Rivals is a unique head-to-head racing experience!

While these newer games are all the rage, you can also find great sonic games on other consoles as well, including the PS2, Gamecube, Xbox, Gameboy Advance and Nintendo DS. The SEGA mascot brings fun and excitement to all the video games and drags some friends along for the fun. Some friends included are Miles Tails Prower, Amy Rose Hedgehog, Shadow the Hedgehog, Knuckles Echidna and Cream the Rabbit. And, of course, Sonic’s arch enemy, Dr. Eggman, shoves his way into games as well.

Oh, but wait! The fun does’nt stop there. Die hard Sonic the Hedgehog fans have created fun and exciting Sonic Flash Games for gamers to play online. They are browser based games that are creative, fun and addicting. Yes, you may find yourself playing these games for hours on end! One of my favorite Sonic Online Games is Ultimate Flash Sonic. It’s an amazing remake of the classic SEGA Genesis game, Sonic the Hedgehog.
